Partial Database Schema Comparison

In partial schema comparison, the goal is to compare exactly what you need and just a subset of the entire database. DBTYP.NET Studio brings this feature, highly improving performances, and helps you to focus on the most important objects to you. There are two types of partial comparisons: early, object type selection and late, objects selection.

Object Type Selection

This feature allows you to early define (at the time when you are defining connections) which object types you want to compare - Tables, Indexes, Views and Stored Procedures. Unlike to other comparison solution on the market, we make server side filtering for those objects, skiping reading their definitions and properties what make us very competitive and very suitable, for comparisons of databases which resides on a very long distances.

Objects selection

After reading objects from databases, DBTYP.NET Studio allows you to specify all objects which needs to be compared. Initially, all objects are selected, but you can exclude these which you don't need to be compared as for example some columns, constraints, some voews, stored procedures and so. The best feature is that such a defined comparsion you can save as new or add to an existing project. For details, take a look at Project Management
